Task

A gambling company approached us with a promo video intended for an international market. Our task was to translate the video script into Ukrainian and provide professional voice-over while maintaining the original energy and pacing of the video.

Work Process

1. Script Translation
   • We received the English script and immediately noticed that it contained gaming slang and jargon without direct equivalents in Ukrainian.
   • We conducted in-depth terminology research and provided an adapted translation to ensure the text sounded natural rather than overly literal.
2. Text Synchronization
   • It was crucial to match the translated text with the original timing of the video.
   • Some sentences had to be shortened or modified to fit the time constraints without losing meaning.
3. Voice Talent Selection & Recording
   • The client wanted an emotional yet not overly aggressive tone. We provided several voice samples for selection.
   • The chosen voice-over artist initially struggled with some industry-specific terms, so we recorded multiple takes and adjusted pronunciation in real time.
4. Final Editing & Sound Processing
   • After recording, we synchronized the audio with the video, fine-tuned intonation, and adjusted volume levels.
   • The final version was seamlessly aligned with the visuals, with no delays or awkward pauses.
